2. When did you start making music and was there anything that influenced you to get started?

Around 12 years old I downloaded some music software for fun. It was just a simple drag and drop app where you could drag different loops into a timeline.
I will never forget how proud I was that I just created music myself.
Later I started experimenting with other software like FL studio’s and Logic where I learned how to actually create it myself. I think I got so determined because I had a lot of ideas in my head and it never sounded how I wanted it to be.
So I just kept practicing until I reached the sound that I wanted. I currently work with Ableton Live.

3. How have your influences changed from your start to your current position in the industry?

It changes a lot all the time. I have studied music here and I constantly got different inspirations from other people.
I can enjoy anything really, it just needs to include something new or refreshing.

4. On to your music, can you walk us through the creative process of starting a new song like Back To You or Moon Secret?

I don’t have a standard working method. Most of the time a song just pops up in my head and I rush to my studio to make it.
The only method I use is when an idea pops up I directly put it on paper or create it in my software. If I forget the original idea it’s harder and takes longer to continue working on it later.

5. Do you have any advice you’d give to young producers trying to get started now?
Create your own sound. Don’t chase the good sounding pre-made loops because no one will hear it is you. If you use them you become replaceable. If you want to succeed in the music industry you need to put your mark on your music. What inspires you? what gives you goosebumps when you hear it? Try to figure out the characteristics which YOUR song should have, and to try to master that.

6. When did you land your first sync deal? How did you go about landing it, and how has it affected the success of your music?

I think around end 2017/2018. I was very excited that I could actually make money of making music. I started taking it much more serious from then on. I tried improving my quality as much as i possibly could. I still make music just because I love it, never for the money. But i have become more self aware of my abilities and what people like to hear.

7. The year is about to wrap up, do you have any plans for 2021?

Yes, I have made many connections this year. I have plans to co-work with another producer and some of the most famous rappers right now. I also look forward to keep the sync deals at Deep Root Records going and promote my own music here. In the end just making as much bangers as possible! Maybe get a car, some new studio gear? Who knows.

8. What’s your favorite plugin to use when making music?

Serum. I make a lot of sounds with it and it has endless possibilities. For mixing I would recommend the waves Mercury bundle. It has amazing tools to help clearing your mix up and pump your master.

9. What’s something that helps you get over a creative block if you ever experience it?

Usually going for a jog or just doing something else for a while. But if I have deadlines I stay put and keep trying to make something. I noticed that around after a half hour of being bored and trying things tend to start going again.
